Sometimes double-tapping in a dialog box on the PDA has no effect.
Situation: Normally, double-tapping to open a file or folder works just fine.
Where the problem appears is during File Linking between the PDA and
PalmConnect. When working in the File>Copy dialog box,
and trying to open folders by double-tapping, or in other dialog boxes
where double-tapping is required, the system does not respond to the taps.
The problem is inconsistent, but has been attributed to the number of
tasks going on simultaneously. Try varying the time between taps
and make several attempts to tap the desired folder. If this occurs
in the File Manager itself you can always highlight the desired icon
and use the File>Open menu.
If opening a folder proves impossible, cancel the copy operation and
work from the PC. Find the desired file on the PDA in PalmConnect by
tapping on the remote drive button (PDA-B unless you've changed the
name of the PDA). Once the B:[internal] drive appears displaying
the Geoworks folder, you will have to double-click the Geoworks folde
, then find and double-click the Document folder to see your files
in the Document folder of the PDA. Highlight the file to be linked
to the PC and either drag the file icon to the Document button at
the bottom of screen and drop it, or use the File>Copy method
described in the User Guide. See also technote
"File Linking with PalmConnect".
