Pasting Ink in Sketch Pages

Where does the ink go when I paste it onto a sketch page?

When you use the Select-Copy or Select-Cut tools from the Toolbox to copy or cut a region of text from a page you are picking up all of the ink strokes within a measured, marked rectangle. When you paste, using Paste from the Toolbox, you will get a paste of the same rectangular region as selected. The position of the paste is this: The point selected on the page for the paste maps to the vertical and horizontal center of the pasted region. This means that you should be careful of how much "white space" you include around the desired ink.

Additional Points:

• The pasted ink will appear to "flash" or repaint 2 or 3 times. This is normal.
• Ink strokes are preserved. The stroke order is maintained and appended to the end of the stroke list. Therefore, after a Paste, you may Backspace to remove strokes in the reverse order they were originally made. If you add strokes after the Paste, these will erase first, then the Pasted strokes, then the previous strokes.
• There is no Undo feature. You must use the Backspace feature, Clear Ink tool, or Eraser tool to remove undesired ink.
