I'm the developer of the Fitness Tracker software package that runs on
the Omnigo. My package runs fine when installed on the ACE SRAM cards.
Because of the recent demise of ACE, I've tried using other SRAM cards
distributed by other vendors (MagicRam and the card sold by Notebook
Supply).
When my program is active and the machine is powered off then on again
there is about a 3 or 4 second delay before the user can input anything
(e.g. enter data or tap a trigger on the screen): i.e. a message gets
sent out but there is a delay before it is handled.
Does anyone know who the manufacturer was of the ACE card? That card
works perfectly with my software. Apparently, some of the more
inexpensive cards that I have tried simply take longer to be recognized
when powered on. However, once the card is recognized the software works
perfectly, until the next power-off, power-on sequence.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Any recommendations of cards to
use? I'm in panic mode! Note that the two cards that I tested drew about
10% more current that the ACE Card when accessed.
Apparently one can use these inexpensive cards for back up purposes, but
running software that is resident on them is something else.
