The speed of the SDK tools has to do with the extended memory. Are you
running them under Windows 95? If so, they should be running fine, but just
in case, add the EMM386.EXE to your CONFIG.SYS file. This means you'll also
need HIMEM.SYS. Be sure to set the NOEMS flag in the EMM386 line. This should
allow the tools to allocate the memory they need quickly. You should be doing
these things regardless of whether you're using Windows 95 or not.
