I have recently observed a strange behavior on the OmniGo (and the EC emulation)
when terminating an application using Fn-F3:
The program ends (if Swat is attached, the termination of the process is
signaled), but when I restart it, the UI sometimes doesn't seem to be rebuilt
from scratch, but rather "remembers" some state info from the old session, like
open dialogs or contents of text entry fields.
If I have downloaded a new version of the geode in the meantime (which happens
quite often when I'm testing a new app), the program sometimes crashes when I
restart it.
This looks like a problem with state files to me, because it seems to go away
when I delete them. Anyway, is it possible that this behavoir could otherwise
affect the OmniGo's performance? [I have heard about people complaining about a
slowdown after installing programs like Expert Desktop or the File Manager...
even though I couldn't think of such a mechanism.]
I have encountered similar things on the desktop version before, but I had
always attributed them to starting a new version of a programm too quickly after
terminating the version that was running before (which isn't too difficult under
OS/2 if the Geos session is frozen while in the background...).
