Thanks for the support Nathan, but let me say a couple of things before we
get to carried away.

First, I may have improperly sent a message to this list, before the actual
RFD was allowed on, so at the moment, we may be discussing an issue that
UUNET is unaware is a legal proposal. Let me get back to you folks before we
go en masse on discussing.

Second, I have to agree with Jouni. I don't know why Dan felt a lot of
discussion was neccessary, except maybe to drum up the 100+ required votes
over dissenting votes to make it pass. For that, we will need everyone's
support when the vote taking comes by...but other than that, I think most of
us are in agreement.

Third, the problem I'll encounter, is that the group proposal is tied in with
group reorganization, and for that reason, I'll have to deal with the other
issues users may pose, so we may have to go for a little while with
discussions unrelated to our end purpose of creating a programming news
group, until the other matters are resolved. I can deal with that, if you'll
have the patience to wait while I address everybody's concerns.

Fourth....I'm really winging it here...I hope I haven't made myself a pest
with UUNET already <g>, because of the multiple posting I made by not
understanding the "exact" procedure to follow, but...live and learn..that's
how I learn sometimes..by the seat of my pants. :(

Fifth, I'm also working on taking over the GEOS Programmer's FAQ that was
formerly posted by James Bearden, and may be a little preoccupied with
getting organized to deal with these two things, so I may be a little sparse
around here as I wind my way through the organizational reading I have to do
to understand this beast.

Sixth...any influence someone here may have with UUNET, will be greatly
appeciated. :D
