How come no one's discussing the comp.os.geos.programmer newsgroup
reorg? It's not going to happen all by itself. I feel like I'm the only
one who gives a damn if the newsgroup is created. There are at least
three benefits to having a comp.os.geos.programmer newsgroup: 1)
Messages don't pile up in your mailbox. 2) Messages are archived by
several online services and news archives (DejaNews), and 3) The
newsgroup will never go away. Although this mailing list has remained
stable for several months now, it does have its limitations and
mortality. Newsgroups are immortal (well, until you remove them by
voting for it). Plus, "comp.os.geos.programmer" is easier to find and
easier to remember than "geos-dev@lifelike.com". And you don't have to
subscribe or unsubscribe, you just read the newsgroup when and if you
want.
Does anyone else agree with me? Am I the only one who sees the advantage
of having the newsgroup? Please help us in getting the newsgroup created
by posting to the "news.groups" newsgroup.
