You don't happen to notice the major flaw in your approach with the omnigo?
The omnigo has a serial port not a parallel.

Anyone else?

Really? I have used the DOS 6.22 interlnk under Win95 to connect an old
DOS/Win3.1 notebook to mine.
All I did was add:
DEVICEHIGH?=C:\DOSW\INTERLNK.EXE /LPT1
to my Win95 config.sys ("?" so it gives an interactive "yes/no?" on
whether to load this driver and "/LPT1" for using parallel cable)
I connect the cable, start INTERSVR /LPT1 on the DOS/Win3.1 notebook,
reboot the Win95, to load interlnk and I can browse the DOS/Win3.1
notebook drives from the Win95 shell/Explorer etc.

The above is the only way I can think of.

Hope this helps!
