Mac file transfer

I'm desperately trying to transfer files between my OmniGo and my Mac
(PowerBook Duo 250 with Dock), but I'm having lots of problems. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

1. CDI's MacPCCOM will not communicate successfully with my OmniGo.
It seems to have trouble opening the Mac's serial port correctly. When I
type "CO" it just hangs up, and I have to force quit to exit. I think the
serial & printer ports are somewhat unique on the Duos because they share
one physical port when the Powerbook is not docked.

I've been able to use Zterm to communicate with the OmniGo without any
serial port trouble (but I can't transfer files with it, of course). In
fact, I found that by running MacPCCOM with Zterm in the background it
works better, as though Zterm is holding the serial port open for MacPCCOM.
In this mode I can explore the Omnigo's directories fine with MacPCCOM,
and I've been able to transfer some files, but most files will not transfer
properly--the data starts showing up in the Zterm window instead of
MacPCCOM, and MacPCCOM gives CRC errors.

2. How can I install *.GPK files without running INSTALLER (which
requires Windows)? (I have SoftPC so I should be able to run most DOS
programs, if necessary.)

3. Has anyone tried running HP connectivity software or Intellilink
under SoftWindows or with a DOS-on-Mac processor card?

4. Are there any rumors or thoughts about pending development of more
Mac software for the OmniGo?

Again, thanks for your help.

-Robert
