FYI. I believe that I have found the difficulty in establishing a link
between the OG100 and my PC (he was heard to say as he knocked on some
synthetic wood-looking stuff on his desktop). The problem appears to be
with the display driver. I must have been making some changes and been
foolish enough to let the OS load the default manufacturer's driver.
After reloading a driver that just seemed to perform better (actually I
did load the SVGA driver to check), all seems well.
Good timing too as about fifteen minutes after hot-linking, I
managed to wipe the whole ramdrive clean. If you are ever bored and want
to add some excitement to your life just do the following:
1)Omnigo has completely locked
2)Try a reboot (duh!! I just said LOCKED up, of course it won't work)
3)Try to reset the OGO with ye olde paperclip.
4)Not finding a paper clip within arms reach, decide to pull the main
batteries.
5)Reinstall the main batteries.
6)Look at the cool vertical stripes on the screen.
7)Try to reboot again. Oh, still locked.
8)Move one's lazy butt and go get a paperclip
9)Rest the machine and go "Wow, it has lots of free space on it, I
wonder...uh-oh."
There is a moral there somewhere.
