Thanks to all for the help. It does indeed seem to be the "launch model"
setting. I apparently just paid attention to it at the time change, after
the nifty little prompt. Is there a decent primer on Geos 2.0 around?
I have only educated guesses as to what the "launch model" setting is as
I am not able to discern the effect; though I suppose I could if I were
printing in the background, etc.
FWIW. One other thing which adjusting the lm setting to 0 seems
to have rectified, is that the dynamic data in the main setup screen
setup would be blank (i.e. no numbers for storage, card status).
