A friend and I both experienced drops to our OmniGo's. His was from about
four feet to the cement. It damaged the hinge and required a replacement.
My OmniGo dropped from 3 feet onto a rug and popped the hinge out of joint
severing the wire cable connection between the display and the keyboard.
This also required replacement and took about 3 weeks to get back from HP.

Being a design engineer, I know there is a 26 point five foot drop test
required for products of this sort. I don't think HP even tested this
thing for durability. I have had great success with previous HP products
in the past, and the poor design of the hinge in this unit surprises me.
Anybody else with drop experience?
