>1. Was there an earlier version of the omnigo, how does it differ from the
>one now?
There has only been one version of the OmniGo 100 released so far.
Some very early units of the OmniGo 100 were replaced by Hewlett Packard.
Here is the official press release from HP:
PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov 8 - Hewlett-Packard Co said it has discovered a
manufacturing defect in early units of its HP OmniGo 100 handheld organizers.
In some cases, the defect causes information to be lost when batteries are
changed, Hewlett-Packard said.
It said the problem occurs in about 1,900 units currently in U.S. retail
channels, and about 500 units already in U.S. customer hands may be affected.
No organizers currently on dealer shelves have the problem.
Owners of OmniGo 100s with serial numbers lower than SG54402000 can call the
company for a replacement unit.
>2. Can you drag and drop an appointment to a different day or week (I know
>you cando it via the same day) or do you have to change the date manually
>(I noticed on the connectivity pack that you can pull up a month menu but I
>don't think its available on the omnigo)
I don't see any way to "drag" an appt to a different day.
>3. Can you dwonload the spreadsheet to Excel (I notice intellilink doesnt
>allow this) and how about word
Clip & Go will let you easily copy and paste data to and from the OmniGo and
Excel and WordForWindows.
>4. What is the best type of ram card you can recommend?
I have never had any problems with New Media Corp
SRAM cards.
