William

Like you I have tried OGEDIT and the Blue Marsh text
editor. I also can't figure out how to get the Blue Marsh
text editor to look in another directory.

BUT I DID NOT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH OGEDIT. I have learned
after some crashes with the text editor supplied in the IZL
developer's package that many DOS ASCII files have a Ctrl-Z
at or near the end of the file. GEOS ASCII files don't
seem to have this and GEOS chokes when it encounters a
Ctrl-Z.

Or at least this is how I interpreted my problem. When I
removed the Ctrl-Z characters from my DOS ASCII files, I
had no trouble with OGEDIT reading a 140K file.

Also the Blue Marsh editor seems a lot slower at loading a
file and I can't get it to free up the memory it has taken
when it loads my 140K file.
