I had that happen to me when I started to print from the OGO before I had the
host machine ready... if you miss the first few characters, you're lost.
Make sure you do it in this order...
- - connect the two devices with serial cable
- - run DOS session on host, run omniprn with whatever paramters you need
- - when omniprn says it's ready (and prints the '-'), you may print
from the OGO
before hitting F10 to exit (and if nothing is printing yet)
- - wait until omniprn shows a '-' for at LEAST five seconds (10 is better) OR
- - wait until the OGO shuts itself off
ever since I've done it this way I've had no problems (although I use a HP LJ
4). If you still have trouble, let me know and maybe we can work it out
(maybe our DOS sessions have differnt settings...)
