Between all the file transfers and IP sub protocols like ppp, pop, smtp,
html etc, I miss the ntp protocol (or similar):

With other synchronisations, also synchronize the date and time. Since
most timezones differ half or whole hours, minutes can always be
synchronized if they differ up to 10 minutes.
