Installing to Flash RAM

Has anyone figured out a way to install programs to a Flash card?
I have a Pretec 8MB card which works fine - actually seems faster than the 2MB Grid
SRAM card I have, reading and writing, it's just that the installer program won't recognize
the Flash card.
