I,ve been hotsynching data both ways with no problems. But I am carefull
not to make changes in the same application on both the OGO and PC. I find
it alot easier to enter my phone numbers and addresses from my old paper
planner into the PC and then hotsync. I hotsync on a weekly basis. For that
little fear I have of encountering problems, I also backup the data to my
ATA flash card.

Pocket Quicken takes 115k of RAM (not including data). If you have that and
a couple of other utilities/games on the OGO, you run out of space fast.
(especially with the application state files taking another 50k-100k) I highly
recommend getting some type of RAM card (SRAM or ATA Flash).

I personally got an ATA flash card. (4M pretec bought from LA Trade for $169)
Direct Mobile sells used 1M SRAM cards for $40. New 1M SRAM cards typically
go for $120. One individuals has claimed having problems with an ATA flash
(Steve GWSteve@aol.com) and another individuals praises them (Man
Man.Wong@internetmci.com). Some individuals claim having problems formatting
there SRAM cards.

So ask a lot of questions when shopping for a RAM card.

Maybe with Marcus Groeber battery watcher program, we will be able to figure
out the true inpact on battery life, when RAM cards are used with the OGO.

I'll offer again to collect data and experiences on all types of RAM cards for
the OGO. The last time I asked to do this (2 weeks ago) I only got 1
response (a positive one). So as I see it now, there appears to be little
interest. If there is interest in a OGO RAM FAQ, let me know. Please
send responses directly to me.
