I just wasn't sure about the next bit:
Is this happening everytime you reboot (assuming you rebooted more than
once)?
YES
If you make a copy of GEOS.INI (after reentering the data), do the
above procedure and add a line to AUTOEXEC.BAT to copy the modified copy to
GEOS.INI just before the line that launches GEOS, then your problem should
be solved. After this, you should remove (or rem out) that line in
AUTOEXEC.BAT that you added to do the copying. Otherwise, it'll copy the
modified copy to GEOS.INI whenever you reboot, and undo any more recent
changes to GEOS.INI. I suspect this is also what happened w/ the driver
installation.
Where should I keep the modified geos.ini file? I don't really know how
geos launches so I was wondering whether the file I need to copy is the
one in Geoworks; then where does it go?. Also I wasn't sure about the
line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file; currently it copies the geos.ini file from
B:\ to geoworks directory-I nearly understand but not quite. Any help
would be welcome.
