ogtext.com misuse

Help!

In a moment of complete stupidity I installed ogtext.com on my og as a
driver in the config.sys file (i.e. 'driver=b:\ogtext.com'). I know
drivers usually gave a .drv extension but I have seen some with .com
extensions and I was sure this was a driver, not an executable.

Anyway, needless to say it's now not a happy camper. I've tried soft
reboot, paper clip reset, and no batteries for 24 hours but when rebooted
it shows the usual Omnigo splash screen, scrolls ASCI garbage and beeps
intermittently for about 2 seconds then does nothing. At this point it
will not respond to any key strokes apart from a SHIFT+ON+NEXT soft reboot
(when it repeats the same performance).

I had assumed that the edited config.sys and autoexec.bat (from which I
removed the geos command at the end) were stored in ram and would
therefore be restored to factory settings from ROM when reset or deprived
of power. This does not appear to be the case.

What is going on and can it be easily fixed?

I would be grateful of any help

Chris
