I have to agree that the screen size is a bit more important than having
a backlight. I've just grown used to having a tiny one-celled
MAGLITE(tm) on my keychain at all times. :-)

A couple of apps that are missing, IMHO, is even a simple
project-management
facility, and a comm package (simple VT-100, email, fax).

The project management facility should have a set of databases
corresponding
to "resources," which projects can share. At the minimum, it should
allow us
to list tasks, durations, begin/end dates, resource/commitment levels
and
dependencies. The project manager should also be able to display a GANTT
or
PERT chart. I tried jury rigging a project in the spreadsheet, but soon
found out that date arithmetic lacked one important feature: calculating
dates but skipping weekends/holidays, e.g. 5 days beginning on a Friday
would count Saturday and Sunday as workdays! I would write this myself,
but
I only have and use Unix systems (although I haven't tried to use Sun's
WABI to develop).

Yes, 1MB is quite -tiny-. The AC I can live without (I rigged an HP
bench
power supply to a pair of alligator clips... voila!). The memory is a
bigger
problem. 2MB would be sufficient as a starter.

I've only had my OGo for about three days, BTW, and I do like it a lot.
What kinda infuriates me is that I learned on the same night that the
110
or 120 is coming out in a couple of weeks. Time to exercise that "30-day
money back guarantee" right!!!
