Hello!
I have been looking to attach a barcode scanner to the omnigo for several
months now (since May). There is a product out there which will plug into
the omnigo. The product is called the "Express Decoder Wand", and is
manufactured by hp. A non-hp vendor has built an adapter (with chips) which
plugs into the standard serial plug and adapts it for use with the HP PALMTOP.

I am currently in contact with Frank Fisher (BBox Computers) to develop the
software to enable the 'Express Decoder Wand' to function with Geos, and
actually interface with the internal database.

This development is specificly for use for Caliber Logistics (contract
warehousing and material handling at the HP-Corvallis Site). I am not sure
what constraints Caliber will put on the barcode software... The project
should be completed within a few months (October).

Try the HP people. They apparently have a product called 'OmniWand' that is
supposed to connect to an OmniGo.

OmniWand has nothing to do with OmniGo and HP! It is a separate product
made by VIDEX INC. try http://www.videx.com for more info.
