You can paste text into the notepad app if you use the CTRL+V key combination as paste command. You can also
use CTRL+C for "Copy" and CTRL+X for "Cut" to edit text notes.
BTW this is a general Windows feature and works in many text entry boxes where there is no explicit paste
command available. Example: editing text in MS Excel Cells.
