Hi Glenn,
-'Synch & Go' and 'Clip & Go' are two different Windows apps.
-you can use Schedule+.
-clipgo.exe V1.0 5/2/96 by Geoworks
-synchgo.exe V1.0 30/8/96 by Intellilink

To use --Synchgo--, you run the Transfer app on the OG.
It does:
1) BACKUP/RESTORE: store OG files (all or selection) on
the PC, --without-- the ability to change them.
Each time you take a backup, it creates a new directory.
2) SYNCHRONISE: lets you feed OG files to win progs and back.
A configuration screen lets you match a win prog and an og file:
appointments, phone book, database, notes and todo list can be
shared with Schedule+, Lotus, Paradox, dBase (many others in
the config dialog) or can be passed as delimited ASCII.

--Clipgo-- is in two parts: one runs on your win box, the other on
the og. Once started, they look for the other and link up at
9,600 bauds then become small floating windows.
As soon as you do copying on either machine, both come to the
foreground showing a progress bar. When done, you can paste on both.

According to the manual (100+ pages), conversion is as follows:
-text:
formatting preserved via RTF format with Word 6.0, wordPerfect 6.1,
AmiPro 3.1, Lotus 5.0, Quattropro 6.0 and later.
-database:
per-record basis, field names get transmitted too.
-spreadsheet:
cell data and functions via WK1 format to Excel, Lotus and Quattro.
-BMP files
only OG-->Win supported. OG ink appears as 72 DPI in win.

-Backup/restore works perfectly (I wiped the OG a few times and got
everything
back) - you could use OgComm for that though, no need to buy this.
-Using Synch will take tweaking -database especially- but if you need OG
data on
the PC, it's worth the effort.
(I like the win progs for Phone book and Appointments included in the
pack
but am lazy to backup stuff twice - once for Backup, second for
Synch.)
-I used Clip & Go to juggle spreadsheet data and found it working
exactly
as documented: cell data as well as formulae were copied to/from Excel
5.

Peter
