Since you have a serial cable, I hope you have software to make a backup
to a PC. There is also free software with which you can make backups.

What was the state of the batteries? The usage of the serial port is
power consuming. If your serial 2 paralel converter has no power, it
also drains the ogo. If you also have a pcmcia card installed, it might
even drain the ogo further more.

This could be due to batery removal or the other problem. Removal of the
bateries does NOT shutdown the machine. It continues to work on the
backup batery. Or did you remove that one as well? Sure thing memory is
gone!

Start with new, fresh batteries. Have the serial 2 paralel cable with an
own power supply, remove additional power consuming things like pcmcia
cards and try again.

There you go 9600 is less power consuming than 19.2K. Try 2400!

You mean there is an alternative? USe it. Where can I find omniprn.exe?

Groetjes en succes
