French-English Dictionary? French accents

Hi, I recently can across a listing of 4000 or so french words with
English equivalents and tried to make a database out of them but ran
into a few problems. The some of the french words have french accents
on several letters, these we in the original text file but when I
imported them into a database the accents were all lost, I tried
changing the characters back to the original in some cases but the
Omnigo character set doesn't seem to support some of them such as [ימ]
(I hope they come out OK).

My questions are these:-
a/ Is it possible to select a different character set that does have
these characters on the Omnigo?

b/ If not is the French version of the Omnigo different?

c/ Would it be possible to use the Bindary program to make a book that
has these characters in it? This would probably be the way to go but
can you search using the Book reader program?

Any ideas??
