It's an old GVC Pocket Fax Modem, 2400 baud.

Yes it runs in DOS mode, also, you need Omniswap to re-map the keyboard.

It works fine, except that I cannot compose emails while using it. The machine is
unable to call the program properly when nettamer tries to load the editor
