1.
OGO <--> PC cable is null-modem.
For connection with modem you MUST use modem cable.
May be like this: OGO <--> PC cable + Null-modem adapter.
(Null-modem cable + Null modem adapter = modem cable).
2.
Also you must add to your modem default init string: &S0&D0.
It means DSR always ON; DTR always ON.
(if your modem understand this extended commands, or something
like this otherwise).
And try to set baud rate on 19200. (Setup->Line settings->Baudrate)

Subject: ArtsCom demo
Hi all,
I spent hours trying to get ArtsCom working with an external modem,
without success. I couldn't get it to initialize the modem. (My setup:
OG 100 -> normal OG cable -> 9-to-25 adapter plug -> same 14.4K modem I
use right now.)
Just wondering how others are doing ? Anyone got past this ? Did anyone
try the PCMCIA option?
Let's help the Artsoft people, this is a program that could fill a void
on the OG !
Peter
