I assume that you are trying to run GE under Windows
It's been a while but if memory serves, you have to change what
version of MS DOS is reported to the program by Windows by using the
SETVER.EXE command.

In a command prompt, try typing:

SETVER LOADER.EXE 6.00

then try running geoworks.
