I have had similar problems, and I do have a SRAM card, but I found that
to be sure to get your alarms (I never hear them myself, but do check my
OGO a lot for phone #s and making notes and entering quicken stuff), run
the appointment app beforehand, then exit (NOT FN-F3), to be sure that
it is still considered an executed app.
Ever since I have made sure the appointment app has been executed since
last soft-reboot/restart/what-have-you, I have not had the OGO miss an
appointment.
