After toying with the idea of coding an offline mail reader I came up =
with the following process to do the same.
Requirements:
-Connectivity kit.
-Text editor for the Omnigo.
-Email program capable of saving messages in text only format. (most do)
I use MS Exchange ver.4, it comes with windows 95. =20
Procedure:
To simplify the process I created a shortcut on my desktop to my =
sync/ram directory. This is optional, however, but it does save a little =
time and you only have to do it once.
Connect to your service provider and retrieve your e-mail.
Select one or all of your messages and save them as (a) text file(s) to =
your sync/ram victory. Exchange allows me to save multiple email =
messages as one text file. The header information breaks up the content =
nicely.
Now do a hotsync to your Omnigo. I always do a manual hotsync, I've had =
too many bad experiences with the auto. :(=20
Voila.. You can now read your email when ever you have some spare time.
I have done the procedure many times now and can complete the entire =
process in under 3 min. Time will vary depending on the number and size =
of your messages.
As far as replying goes why not. It's not as elegant but it works and =
it's free.
The bulk of the time in creating an email message is the content.=20
Use the same message or start a new one. Save it. Then do a hotsync to =
transfer your replies back to your PC.
Double click on your shortcut to sync/ram. Now double click on the =
message. This should launch a simple editor, like notepad. Now just cut =
and paste it into the body of an email.

Hope you find this useful.
