I can answer your printing question. From discussion with a couple of list
members and with the Omniprn author, the problem seems to be that the computer
and port are designed for a higher voltage. The Ogo will communicate at its 3
volt output, but it is close to the voltage threshold of the port. If you put
brand new alkaline batteries in and run at 9600 baud, you results should
improve. The printing is nearly perfect if you use an AC adaptor. I use the AC
adaptor when I communicate with the serial port, and it solved a lot of
connection errors and problems that existed when I used batteries.
