Hi Davide and Jeff !!
Thanks much for the hints ... but I couldn't solve the problem.
Today I went to my store and changed the US ROBOTICS for a TRUST 14.4 :-(
This modem doesn't work too .... AAARRRRRGH!
The strange thing is that days ago I connected the ogo with a external modem
14.4 by Trust (borrowed from a friend of mine) and it worked fine!
Perhaps the technology in this year is changed and now the modems have the
horrible TR led always off...
The command &D0 works only in a computer connected with modem; once issued the
command, I disconnected the machines and then I connected the ogo and the modem
: now it works because we override the TR, but ONCE I powered down the modem
anything was gone and the problem exists yet!!

Well, now after crying much, I decided to get the old TRust modem.
The happy thing is that I love very much to discuss with you all and I think
that my sacrifice will worth while !

Bye!
