I've just gone down this path. There is actually quite a lot you can
do with your files. You can retrieve text out of your notes by
importing the notes file into word, you can translate your database
and phone info into comma-delimited format for use in spreadsheets or
other database programs (you can even import database info into the
ogo) using gdbio.exe. You can, from what I here around this mailing list, use your
spreadsheet info if you have the desktop version of geocalc.

With an installer you can install programs on the ogo like a text
editor. Check out the archives of this list at the zoomer archive
site and you will get a heap of good information.

There is a good backup routine already written that uses omnicom.exe
and backs up all of your files automatically. It still requires a
little tweaking, but it works great. You can find a copy at the
happypuppy www site.

I think you I found omnicom.exe bundled with the shareware version of
ILZ (izl ogsh.zip)

sorry I have not been able to provide you with actual site addresses
(I'm kind of on the run),
but you can find them if you go to
http://www.ziplink.net/~maxm/omnigo/index.html.
