Info In and Out of the Notepad

Although successful in getting readable (the main text) Notepad info from the
OG into my Mac I can't put readable info back into the OG. I tried to type
additional text into an existing note and send the .NDB file back to the OG.
I get an error msg when opening the Notepad and the notepad list comes up
blank as if it couldn't read the file. Does the OG keep track of the size of
a note and therefore I'm confusing it when I add text without changing any of
the other characters in the file? Like most I'm trying to achieve some
compatability without a lot of additional cost and software. Thanks for the
assist.
