Hello:
I would like to know if it is possible to connect a floppy disk
via a PC Card.
Another question: it is possible to change the command.com. I try
to put the MS-DOS 5.0 one, and the OmniGo doesn't boot up?

I haven't seen any answers to your question yet. So here goes.

Without doing some programming the question is no, unless someone
else has done this?

I had the same question about the floppy disk connection. It seems
to me that it would be possible, if one could write a driver for the
external floppy disk controller. You would probably have some problems,
though. Inserting and removing disks isn't supported by the OGO. You
would have to have some way of handling that. Your driver would have
to handle a least one type of PCMCIA card, as well. Perhaps a PC card to
parallel port or SCSI port would do as an interface to an external floppy
drive.

This kind of work would take some time.

About command.com replacement, I don't think that there is much hope of this.
As long as dos is in ROM, you are going to have to live with the dos provided.
Anyway, the OGO isn't exactly like a PC XT: no floppy drive to boot from, etc.
I wouldn't expect it to boot up in dos properly using MSDOS designed with a
different bios and architecture in mind.

Ciao,
Chris
