I don't really see how a DOS prompt can ever be reached. It will have to be an add on program as everything in terms of the buit-in apps are pretty closed. Really, the more I use it, the more I think of it as a Macintosh in terms of it's inability to get "into the guts" and mess around. In terms of the pen input. As I said Graffitti works great- and a feature that is documented but not obvious is that you do not have to write in the input box for Graffitti to work! That is why the box can be shrunk to a small toolbar. You shrink it, ensure that you have selected HWR (tap a small button) and you can write on the entire screen and it is translated! You can even enter data into phonebook, database fields etc. in this fashion. You do however, have to start each letter in the field you want to enter it - something that takes getting used to - but possible. Someone e-mailed me about touch typing vs. the Zaurus. I have had both, and much prefer the OG. The keyboard takes some get
tign used to - (placement of the tabkey etc.) but the key board is much more responsive. Again, this is something or a personal preference issue, but I never liked the spongy feel of the Z's keyboard. The OG's keyboard is smaller than the Z's, but you know when you type a letter.
