Well, $349 is inexpensive for a PDA, but pricey for what is functionally the same as a Sharp organizer like you would pick up at Wal-Mart for $50. True, you have the nifty handrwriting feature, but that takes a good deal of patience and eye-hand coordination to get the hang of that, even w/ Grafitti.

The advertisements show OmniGo being used with WyndMail and CompuServe; the previews of the OmniGo magazine have articles about free software. All of this would leave the more gullible of us (me for instance at the tune of $517, unit + HP conectivity kit ) to think that the OmniGo 100 is more than an organizer/calculator.

What I think, as another poster has noted, is that it's not quite ready for prime time. Pocket Quicken won't be ready 'til 12/15 according to one Intuit ad I saw. Clip and Go won't be stockable until 1/96 according to one supply company I talked to.

Based on the great enthusiasm this product has garnered, it probably has a promising outlook, but it's too soon out of the starting gate to have very much support software or hardware.
