- Finally, cost. At $329 (the cheapest I have found) the OG represents a great value. As I said earlier - you can't touch a Newt with the same apps for under $800 - that is pricing a 1 meg Newt and not including the RAM card you would need to store the apps on. If we all agree that PDA's, like all other electronic equipment will quickly be obsolete with the advance of technology than I would rather spend $329 on something I will have to replace in a year to 18 months - than invest $800+ which is what all Newt users have been faced with.
The OG is not perfect. It can't fax, it is missing some apps, telecom etc. and other nitpicky stuff but I think it compares well to a Newton - and beats a Newton. If you want a palmtop computer, stay away from the OG - if you want an inexpensive, versatile electronic device to take notes, phone numbers, appointments and a whole lot more - you HAVE to give the OG serious consideration.
