My impressions

Here is my opinion about the OmniGo. I am returning it back today, and going back to my HP100LX. I use my 100LX as an organizer so I compare the two from the same perspective, as organizers.
Didplay: not very clear, reflective. Fonts should be bold to make it more visible. I prefer not to have the Rotate option and to have a wider screen with more space for more fields.
Keyboard: too hard, probably to allow to flip it without accidentally keying. I miss the numeric pad. I miss the applications keys. No good way to call another application when you are in another other then use the pen or equivalent thin finger.
Speed: too slow!
HP12C: redicalously tiny. If you are not used to working with it, forget this application.
All applications: miss a wider screen! I prefer a wider screen over the Rotate option.
Memory: a concern, especially that my understanding is that SRAM can be used only for backup (is that true?). If that's the case, I prefer back up on flash memory.
Graffity: looks promising, did not practice enough to comment.
Calculator: looks like a great application, but I feel cheated by HP that they did not provide an RPN option, I really do!
Construction: looks and feels very solid, and that is important. Design is also nice. Size is fine.
Infra Red: none.
Spreadsheet: looks great.
Jotter: very usefull.
Data base: limited. Again, size of screen is a BIG disadvantage.
Overall: a disappointment. I hope HP will pay attention to this. For now, I am staying with my faithfull 100LX. Will wait for the next one...
