I've been playing with IZL to try to get a feeling about how well it works. I suspect that it could be used for developing a basic form-style database. It has a set of screen objects like buttons and text windows which could tie back to code. It can call a large variety of functions which I presume are provided by GEOWORKS including string functions and math. Finally, it can write to files so you could control the format there and it would be readable elsewhere. I am not sure how one would make hard copy if that is important (I haven't seen that capability yet, but maybe I've not looked in the right place). Doing an IZL program would be a little like writing a BASIC or Pascal program in terms of difficulty.
