Since it looks like you derived portions of your list of questions from my
recent offering of Zoomer stuff for sale, I'll see if I can answer:

Graffiti is an alternative (and much better) handwriting recognition package
for the Zoomer. It was developed by the same people (Palm Computing) who did
the built-in handwriting recognition software, but it uses a different
approach and is quite a bit faster and more reliable.

It's only available as an add-on -- it wasn't ever included in the Zoomer
product -- and unfortunately, Palm Computing no longer offers it directly.
Palm withdrew from the general PDA software marketplace when the introduced
their own PDA (the Palm Pilot), and have since been acquired by US Robotics.

Unless you can find a copy of the software through a retailer or liquidator, I
believe the only legal way to obtain it is to purchase a used copy.

> 2. What do these programs do?
> A) PalmUtilities

PalmUtilities is a small set of add-on programs for the Zoomer. Details are on
http://www.grot.com/zoomer/software/commercial.html#utilities

> B) IntelliLink 3.10

Intellilink is a Windows program that (1) does file transfers with the Zoomer,
and (2) converts the datebook, addressbook, and notebook files to and from
other formats. Those other formats include some popular "PIM" packages like
Act! and Lotus Organizer, and also generic formats like comma-seperated plain
text.

> C) libraries from the NewDeal package to make NewWrite

This refers to the what used to be called Geoworks Ensemble, which is composed
of a set of desktop applications and the GEOS operating environment for PC's.
NewWrite (or GeoWrite) is a word processor. Since Zoomers also run GEOS, ou
can run NewWrie on a Zoomer if you copy the NewWrite executable _and_ the
necessary library files from your PC to the Zoomer.

> D) IZL Programmers Kit(write IZL programs for the Zoomer or NDO/Geoworks)

IZL is a simple development language for writing small applications. See
http://www.grot.com/zoomer/software/non-commercial.html#development for more
details.

> E) Form Factor

FormFactor is a Windows product that performs two functions: (1) lets you
create and download data collection forms to your Zoomer, and (2) lets you
upload the data you've collected. Details are available in
http://www.grot.com/zoomer/software/commercial.html#development

See (C)

> - Geoworks Art Library (originally for Ensemble 1.2, but works on 2.X)

These are extra fonts and some clip art for Geoworks Ensemble.

Flash RAM is usually larger than SRAM, and flash des not require any power to
keep it's memory working. Flash is a bit slower than SRAM, and does require
more power from the Zoomer for reads and writes. The driver update was
necessary because instantaneous power draw caused some problems.

> 4. How do I double speed or clock-doubled my zoomer?

A small company in Las Vegas performed a little surgery on Zoomers to get them
to run nearly twice as fast as they do without the surgery. I'm not sure if
they still offer that service.

> 5. What's Expert Mode?

Expert Mode is small application which gives you a way to access other options
and capabilities of the GEOS operating system.
