The main Quicken file format is proprietary, so direct transfer of
those files won't work. Even if you have Desktop Quicken, you still
need to buy `Pocket Quicken Connect' or something like that to get the
files readable by desktop Quicken, and that I've read deletes the
files off your Zoomer after they've been transferred (which may not
be what you want). I avoided this by going into the various transaction
lists on the Zoomer and selecting the option to print them to a
Canon BJ-180a printer; instead of the printer at the other end of the
cable, I have my PC capture the file as it comes over the serial port.
I then wrote a C program to convert the captured file to QIF which,
as you likely know, is a format that several of the available checkbook
organizing programs will read. The only real failing of the method is
that any "memo" information for the transactions doesn't come out when
the data is sent to the printer, so those lines are lost unless you
want to key them in by hand at the PC end. I posted the compiled
program for dos/win3/win95 along with source code to this list some
time ago (maybe end of 1996 ?), so you should be able to find it in
the list archives with a subject heading of something along the lines
of `Zoomer Quicken -> Desktop Quicken, Answer here'. If not, I can
probably still find it on a tape somewhere and e-mail along to you.
