The cable therein goes from the Zoomer to either your PC or printer. And, as CasioTech said, adding a null modem adapter will drive your external modem (but the cable is NOT licensed as a modem cable).
BTW -- We've believe the Zoomer pen to be Parker(tm) compatible. Good to know it also fits Cross.
