The SRAM card requires a battery to retain the memory and they are a little faster in speed than the Flash cards but normally cost more. Though the deal from CDW on the Apple 1M card at $38.75 is the best I have seen on an SRAM card ever. The battery needs to be replaced about once a year and the card does not require any special drivers normally to work in most any PCMCIA slot.
The Flash card comes in 5 and 12 volt varieties and only the 5 volt will work in the Zoomer and clones. The Flash card normally is less expensive than the SRAM and does not require any batteries. The Sundisk will work in the Z without any special drivers. Just plug and play as long as it is the 5 volt kind.
