Midwest Micro sells pocket modems (9600 baud or 2400 baud) for 49 to 69 dollars. May as well get one of those as they are faster and cheaper than the PCMCIA card that Tandy and Office Depot sell for $200. And the size is not a real factor to me. They are pretty small.
