You Zoomer folks might want to contact Megahertz and see what plans they have for the Zoomer. They have PCMCIA modems with the fabulous Xjack feature for many machines. They just came out with some great modems for the Newton, so I imagine that if they don't have something for the Zoomer, it can't be too far in the future.
