Hi,
Regarding modems, the Zoomer supports one PCMCIA modem called the AMT Starcard. It is a 2400 baud modem. The external serial cable supports any modem that does not draw the power from it. This means that any pocket or full size modem should work.

As for the modem speed, the Zoomer will operate at 2400 to AOL and can operate at 9600 via a terminal emulator to another system. The limit on AOL's speed is due to the AOL host not supporting 9600. The terminal emulator is available from Geoworks when you purchase Ensemble.

Let me know if you have further questions.
