While Geos isn't a bad system, it is decended from the Comodore 64.

on a state of the art risc processor.

GEOS is *NOT* descended from the Commadore 64. That's like saying System 7
is descended from AppleDOS and therefore can't match Windows for level of
technology.

GEOS is not only an object-oriented system but it is a *true* object system
in that messaging and object management are built into the kernel, not into
the language (like a C++). If you have technical questions on GEOS, I'd be
happy to answer them; you can also purchase our (GeoWorks') SDK preliminary
documentation--just leave me your name and address in email.

I would agree that the "state of the art RISC processor" isn't part of GEOS
and Zoomer--that's one of the reasons for the 100 hours battery life, which
is at least 5 times anything I've heard/seen quoted for a Newton.

GEOS is among the most technologically-advanced, commercially-available
software packages. It was designed as an object system from the start, and
it has evolved at least as quickly as other systems have. I'll answer any
questions you may have.
