Zoomer, I have doubts!

On that other bulletin board (CS) there is a debate going on about the RISC
processor. You mentioned in one of your messages that the Newton has such a
short battery life partly due to the RISC processor. I was told here at
CASIO also that the RISC uses more power but some people have read that it
does not? Could you help fill us in on the facts? (And if it does not use
more power, and the Newton screen is not backlit, why is the battery life so
low?) Thanks for any help you can provide.
